Proclaim User Forum

Has anyone else come across this issue?

We're on 3.5.2.1.5717779 - recently (last month or two) Proclaim seems to be duplicating some actions that all stem from field change intelligence. Foe example "Date A" intelligence on the back of it says when Date A is not equal to Date A then add a task to the case and send an email to the compliance team saying "Date A has been changed on case {case.key}".

The audit and field audit are both showing one change of the date, however, the email to compliance has been added to the history 7 times on a single file, timing is completely random, it's not pinpointed to a single user, could be anyone, on the most recent case it happened over the course of about 5 hours 9.25am, 9.29am, 9.30am, 9.30am, 14.08pm, 14.20pm, 14.25pm. If it were a workflow issue I'd expect it to happen 7 times on the bounce but this looks like it's happening randomly whilst the user it sitting in the case and going about general activities.

I can't replicate it, Access currently can't replicate it, I'm not sure where to go with this one but I am pushing Access to look into it further despite them being reluctant.

It's so far happened on a few different date fields, all of which have intelligence on the back of them. Another is a Misc Date field, changed the date and it put something like 20 tasks into the file when it should only have done 3 (can't replicate, basic workflow, no routines or actions running in the background)

Personally, I don't use intelligence to perform workflow actions as I've never found it particularly stable.

I'd use an update button next to a locked down date field to trigger workflow like this as it's a much more defined process.

One thing that has just sprung to mind though is that I've noticed Proclaim pasting random fields or screen boxes etc when I add a new field to a screen. So if you've added a new field to a screen where these intelligence items are placed, you might have several date fields (with your intelligence associated with them) pasting over the top of each other. It's possible that the single date change is then happening several times as there are several of the same fields on screen. Quick check would be just to move the problem date field across slightly to see if another one is hiding underneath it.
