Finally got sight of the new Case Matters Evo desktop. First impressions are it's clunky - just trying to find your way into the 'Enquiries' tab you'd see on Proclaim Desktop / Main Case Handling was hard enough.
Once I'd found my way in - there is no colour or detail really - buttons just show the name and no images. Just a white screen really with boxes on it. Nothing carries through from the Proclaim screens other than the fields and names by the looks of it.
Workflows wise - every button I click it just states "Failed to load workflow"
Tables - the only option on a table view seems to be "NEW" and it doesn't actually do anything.
Anyone else had any other experiences of the workflow side of it - Proclaim doing normal day to day proclaim things?
Thank you, sounds like a bit of beta software
When you said about the screens with no colour / images, was this based on a copy of your Proclaim screens or there demo screens?
This is a live system. I wasn't involved with the implementation on this one, but it's showing live cases and data but not sure if there is a further migration that needs to take place for the screens / work flows to be fully operational / linked from screens in proclaim
We've decided to stick it out with Proclaim for another year and see how other people get on.
Some of the answers we received which may help others.
They don't upload all your documents to the cloud only ones which are viewed / edited.
New documents created in casematters are written back to your local server.
M365 seems to be a prerequisite for any email integration.
SSO isn't mandatory for user accounts.
Linked actions need to be "Transpiled" to casematters.
Transpiling a linked action is one way, can only be performed once.
Form print tray assignments, no clear answer, they said it depends upon driver for granular tray control.
I did receive a number of answers relating to the way our server setup works which said that would be addressed in the Technical Discovery phase.
This sounded very reasonable but they seem to have missed that part out instead giving us a deadline to upgrade before telling us what parts won't work.
I think this probably mirrors what I've seen then - screens / workflows don't work as they were perhaps part of an ititial build / snapshot of the system.
Given proclaims strength is built around Emergency Requirement > Build > Instant Deployment - I don't see how Case Matters Evo is a viable solution for 90% of the customer base.

I think this is how we will proceed. They said there would be a Legacy fee to stay with proclaim, but haven’t been told how much that amounts too.
We have another meeting in a couple of weeks, so will ask this question then.
Just as a bit of a warning, we've been told by our account manager that they're pushing everyone to Case Matters within the next few months with the existing Proclaim application becoming officially unsupported next year (likely due to Microsoft pulling 32-bit support).
We were planning on holding off like many in this thread but now looks like that's not an option.
Well, it's not ready for mass usage yet. Selective screen settings are not respected, screen lists cannot be collapsed/expanded, tables aren't working properly (table correspondents show no details but the index is shown (despite not being on the screen), date columns aren't formatted correctly (yyyymmdd with no separator), option description columns pull through the code instead, buttons on screens do not necessarily remain in the correct position and they show with the label (we have a load of make call buttons that use a telephone icon in Proclaim but now show 10x New Buttons on some screens). We will have to do a lot of screen redesign. Also, I don't think the background colours work which is a pain where we've got colour coded checklist screens etc. There will be more but that's the immediate stuff.

This sounds like scaremongering to me...
From ChatGPT:
Microsoft is not withdrawing support for 32-bit Windows applications next year. Windows 11 itself is only available as a 64-bit operating system, but its x64 editions continue to run ordinary 32-bit applications through Microsoft’s built-in WOW64 compatibility layer.
Dropping 32 bit was mentioned during a forum I was in. I assumed that they were referring to 32bit office. It was suggested that Proclaim will be 64bit at the end of the year.
I have heard it reiterated multiple times that they won't drop Proclaim desktop until a critical mass has migrated to CaseMatters.
