Creation of PDF bundle hangs...

Post by rajeev108 » Tue Nov 13, 2018 8:54 am

I am creating a PDF bundle in a linked action which is connected to a data import associated with directory monitoring. When I process the job from import/export interactively it works perfectly in no time. However, when I run it from ATM server's directory monitoring job then it hangs, ie taking 15 minutes and I had to kill the job. Is there any reason as to why the task server process should behave differently? Could be something to do with task server setup which needs tweaking. I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Can you perform it manually yourself when logged on the server where the task server runs?

Sounds like missing software on that box

As Revellbikes has said, it sounds like you are missing the required software on your server which is running your task server. You need both FiletoPDF and Tall Components for PDF bundles and Eclipse should be able to supply you with the installers.

Thanks for your replies. I have asked Eclipse to sort out the environment. They did say that PDF bundling software is installed. What exactly are the exact names of 'FileToPDF and Tall Components' and which directory contains them so I can check myself?

I think they might have renamed it PDF Control Suite now so it should be in the following directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Eclipse Legal Systems\Proclaim PDF Control

Also, I think you need to ensure that .NET Framework 3.5 is enabled if my memory serves me.

FileToPDF program was missing on the task server as you guys suspected. Thanks again!
